Together with all of you, KCCure raised enough donations during No Tie July to fund our first kidney cancer research grant! The outpouring of support and generosity during our first month-long fundraising initiative was enormous. And it was all because of you. The results tell an inspiring story.
People from 85 cities in 25 states across America came to KCCure.org to donate. This website has drawn readers from 40 countries, and we are reaching tens of thousands of people through social media. Media outlets covered No Tie July, and we were heartened to see so much public support, particularly from Dr. Erroll Southers, who spoke before hundreds of people around the world all month long to tell listeners why kidney cancer research funding is important and why supporting the No Tie July initiative could make a real difference. He was right!
It is amazing how many people are coming together to raise the research funds we need to develop new treatments, and eventually, a cure for kidney cancer. If all of us working together can achieve these kinds of results in just one month, imagine what more we do. KCCure is just getting started. There’s a lot more work ahead.
Thank you to all who have joined us in this essential cause. Tell your family members, friends, co-workers and even perfect strangers that you’re on a mission to cure kidney cancer, and so is KCCure.
