The Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center at UT Southwestern is set to receive $11 million from the National Institutes of Health to support kidney cancer research. Faculty members plan to use the funding to advance research into kidney cancer tumor biomarkers, create targeted therapies for aggressive tumors and test novel treatments, among other areas.
