World Kidney Cancer Q&A Day – June 21st

As members of the International Kidney Cancer Coalition (IKCC), KCCure is a proud partner and participant of the second-annual World Kidney Cancer Q&A Day.  A day when patients, caregivers, health care professionals and local organizations from around the world join together to raise awareness about kidney cancer.

Why have World Kidney Cancer Q&A Day?

Kidney cancer is a serious disease that affects hundreds of thousands of people worldwide. Unlike other cancers that have declined over the last decade, kidney cancer is on the rise. In fact, the worldwide incidence of kidney cancer is predicted to increase 22 percent by 2020.

Despite these trouble statistics, we still don’t know enough about this disease. In kidney cancer we have no early diagnostic screening, can’t predict who will develop the disease or who will respond to treatment. KCCure is part of a global community working to change that.

Join us in spreading the word that kidney cancer exists and more needs to be done to find a cure.  How can you help?

  • Take the green lipstick challenge! Post your picture to Facebook and Twitter. Be sure to tag KCCure!
  • Like the KCCure Facebook page. We’re only ten likes shy of 2,000 likes – let’s see how fast we can hit our goal!
  • Take the 2 minute quiz to learn more about signs and symptoms of kidney cancer. Share it on line and ask your friends to participate to!
  • Donate to KCCure and help us get a jumpstart on our annual No Tie July event – when we work to raise one year of research funding in just one month.
